OUR BELIEFS

Our Savior

Our Doctrine

We believe in the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, the shedding of His blood on the cross of Calvary, His resurrection, and that He is returning in the future. We believe in the triune nature of God, that although he is one God, He is manifest in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

Our Doctrine

We believe all of humanity is born in a sinful state, and must come to Jesus Christ alone for salvation. We believe in the saving, cleansing power of his blood which he shed for the remission of sins of all mankind.

Our Ordinances

We observe the two ordnances the Lord commanded the church to practice: the Believer’s Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. These ordnances are observed in obedience to our Master and Saviour, and they hold no mysticism nor are they required for Salvation.

We maintain the goal first and foremost of bringing glory and honor on the name of our God and his Son, the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We aim to be a lighthouse to Klagetoh and the Navajo Reservation reaching the lost souls within our local community, and beyond through missions.

Meet Our Pastor

Gary Yazzie

Brother Gary was raised in Many Farms, Arizona and accepted Christ as his savior at the age of 25. Two years later, he surrendered to the Lord’s call to preach and went on to serve as a Sunday school teacher at New Hope Baptist Church in Chinle, Arizona. Brother Gary accepted the pastorate position at Calvary Baptist Church in 2019 and resides here in Cornfields, Arizona with his wife Tanya, two daughters and son. Brother Gary graduted from Penn Foster High School. In 2019, he got his Bachelor of Theology from Gloryland Bible Institute. He also got his Master of Theology in 2021 and Doctor of Theology in 2022 from Chartiy Baptist Bible Institute.
